Baked Brown Rice

The simplest and most flavorful way to experience plain brown rice. A great recipe especially for those that aren't fans of rice at all. Serve as a side with asian dishes, curry dishes, anything really. Leftovers are great to stir fry in the morning with eggs.

Preheat oven to 350.

Use any casserole of 2 qt or more capacity - a square Pyrex or a round souffle.

Add to it:
1-1/2 cups brown rice
1 tablespoon of butter in 4 chunks
1 teaspoon of salt

2-1/2 cups of water

Add boiling water to rice mix in casserole. Stir until the butter melts. Seal casserole with foil.

Bake for 1 hour. Fluff with fork.
