Oven Pancake
A simple & resourceful dish
made from kitchen staples.

Preheat oven to 425.

1/4 cup (one stick) unsalted butter
4 eggs at room temperature
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
1 quart whole milk

pinch cinnamon, optional
pinch nutmeg, optional
pinch, grated lemon peel, optional

Place the stick of butter in a 13x9 baking dish.
melt butter in pan inside the hot oven.
Whisk together the 4 eggs.
Whisk in the salt.
Whisk in the flour and milk.
Blend until smooth.
If desired add grated lemon peel or a combo
of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Pull hot pan out of the oven. Pour the batter
right into the hot pan with the melted butter.
Do not stir. Place pan back in the oven and
Bake for 30 minutes or until puffed and
golden brown.
Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar and
top with syrup, like thick King syrup.
